- If Bugzilla: Close the project in Bugzilla so new issues cannot be created (ASFInfra JIRA)
- Make the wiki read-only (ASFInfra JIRA)
- Update the website to indicate that the podling is retired
- Updating the apache/incubator git repo will lead the web site being redirected to the incubation status page for the retired podling (example PR)
- Move the podling to the Retired section of the Incubator site
- Update the Incubator status page
- Make the SVN read-only
- Remove entries from asf-authorizaton - this makes the directory rw to the Incubator PMC.
- Add entries to asf-mailer.conf and send mail to cvs at incubator.apache.org.
- Mark the podling git repos as retired (ASFInfra JIRA)
- Ask that the mailing lists be shutdown (ASFInfra JIRA)
- Indicate the podling is closed down in the next board report and in incubator-info.txt
- If the podling is listed on the Incubator's ReportingSchedule, remove it from that listing.
