Shale is a new framework, based on JSF, which you can read about here http://shale.apache.org, and on the Shale wiki (http://wiki.apache.org/shale).

There are nightly builds available, including the Use Cases Sample App, which is available here:

Unzip it and drop the struts-shale-usecases.war file into your servlet container. It requires a Servlet 2.4 container such as Tomcat 5.x.
