Richard Monson-Haefel is the author of J2EE Web Services (AW 2003) and Enterprise Java Beans, 3ed (O'Rielly 2002). He is also the co-author of Java Message Service (O'Reilly 2000). Richard is a committer and co-founder of the Geronimo project, Apache's open source J2EE Application Server project. He was also a co-founder of OpenEJB, an open source EJB container used by Apple Computer's WebObjects 5.x. Richard serves on the JCP expert groups for EJB 2.1 (JSR-153), EJB 3.0 (JSR-220) and J2EE 1.4 (JSR-151). He is an independent consultant beholden to no one ... except for his wife.
