I'm a father, software developer, student and founder.

WhatIdoHere

My focus at this site is to contribute to Apache Lenya. My main interests in Lenya development is document editing and editor integration, site management, content repository integration and LenyaI18N. In decmeber 2003 I became a Apache Lenya committer.

WhyI'mHere

The reason why I'm active in the Cocoon and Lenya community is simply that I needed a rock solid web development and content management framework. I believe Apache Cocoon and Lenya catalyzed by the other projects in the Apache software stack will satisfy my desires. Of course there are a lot of open source content managemnt system out there, but a mandatory requirement for me is to use as many W3C standards like XML and XSL as possible. I must not say that Cocoon and Lenya are well formed in many cases (smile)

Of course those other open source content management systems are rich in functionality and reliable, but they often use non standard template mechanisms or document formats to store content.

  • "verba volant, scripta manent (discussions get forgotten, just code remains)" – I saw it first on NicolaKen's email footer
