I asked the PMC to consider a new Chair, as I have been in the role for over 2 years now. The PMC voted that I should continue in the role, and I have agreed to do so for a while longer. We have identified a potential new contributor/committer and the PMC also voted to increase the minimum Java version to 1.6, starting from the next release
