will make up the program.** * Finding track leads (and others interested in joining the Program Committee). * Testing community interest in different subjects, merging/splitting as necessary. * Estimating the number of sessions per-track and tentatively blocking out rooms and dates to help guide the CfP. Questions: * What exactly is a track lead volunteering for? - Publicity for the CfP? Competing for audience at the event? - Do they need to be at the conference? Should they be giving a talk? - Are there hidden responsibility or benefits? (Free registration, speakers dinner?) - If we merge tracks, how do we make sure everybody feels valued? Call for Tracks Draft ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The planners for the Community over Code EU conference are excited to be working on the next edition, which will be held at the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel in Bratislava, Slovenia from June 03-05, 2024! This will be our first live EU event since 2019, and the team is putting together a great event for attendees. As we plan the schedule of sessions, we are seeking input on what tracks to host for this year's live event. Please note, that the physical space is limited, so the number of tracks we can host for one event is more limited compared to Community over Code NA. To that end, this is a general Call for Tracks to start determining what we are going to host on the 2024 conference schedule. If you are interested in having a track for Community over Code EU 2024, please respond to this email with the following information: * Name of track * Short description of the track * Track captain name(s) * Expected number of sessions for your track * Optional: ASF ProjectProjects which might be interested in contributing presentations for your track Note that not all tracks will be the same length in terms of sessions, and not all proposed tracks will be accepted. It is our hope to be flexible with the schedule and accommodate as much variety of live sessions as possible. Track selection will be based on: * Past attendance/interest * Interest in new technologies/approaches * Work history between planners and candidate track captains Please have this information to the planners@apachecon.org by **>>TWO WEEKS AFTER<<** at 23:59 GMT, so we can begin the selection and Call for Presentations process. Additionally, we are excited to announce that we will be introducing a new feature this year: a poster session. This addition will provide an excellent platform for top-level-projects and incubator projects to present their work in a visually engaging manner. We believe this will foster lively discussions and facilitate networking opportunities among participants.
