jclouds aims to release a new major version every 6 months, depending on the scope and complexity of the major themes of the release. Major versions may introduce backwards-incompatible changes (see the DeprecationAndBetaPolicy).
New minor versions are intended to be released every 6 weeks. Minor versions from the same release branch (e.g. 1.7.0, 1.7.1 etc., all from the 1.7.x branch) will be backwards-compatible unless exceptional circumstances arise.
