Linkis

Apache Linkis is a computation middleware project, which decouples the upper applications and the underlying data engines, provides standardized interfaces (REST, JDBC, WebSocket etc.) to easily connect to various underlying engines (Spark, Presto, Flink, etc.).

Linkis has been incubating since 2021-08-02.

Three most important unfinished issues to address before graduating:

1.Improve project infrastructure(CI, CD, test automation, etc.) and structure to facilitate community collaboration 2.Make Apache releases regularly and keep the quality for all releases 3.Gain more active contributors and committers to build a diverse community

How has the community developed since the last report?

  • 18 contributors increased.There are currently 69 contributors and 15 committers.The main reason for the increase in contributors is the development and preparation of version 1.0.3
  • 90 issues and 127 pull requests since last report(2022/01/02).( issues:total/closed/open 675/460/213, pr: total/closed/open 638/609/29)
  • Prepare for the release of version 1.0.3, mainly modified and improved for the license problem reported during the voting process of the RC1 version release.

  • Apache release 1.0.3 under development, progress 100%.
  • Apache release 1.1.0 under development, progress 10%.

Livy

Livy is web service that exposes a REST interface for managing long running Apache Spark contexts in your cluster. With Livy, new applications can be built on top of Apache Spark that require fine grained interaction with many Spark contexts.

NLPCraft

A Java API for NLU applications

NLPCraft has been incubating since 2020-02-13.

SeaTunnel

Apache SeaTunnel is a distributed, high-performance data integration platform for the synchronization and transformation of massive data (offline & real-time). SeaTunnel has been incubating since 2021-12-9.

Three most important unfinished issues to address before graduating:

1: Make official SeaTunnel (Incubating) Release.

2: Build Community around the SeaTunnel project.

3: Guide community discuss more complicated topic via e-mail instead of other channel.

How has the community developed since the last report?

This is our first report after the SeaTunnel project is accepted for Apache Incubator.

Since entering the Apache Incubator (2021.12.9), we have added 21 new contributors, bringing the total to 41 now. The number of dev mail subscriptions is 49. We held an online meetup on January 22, 2022, with 6 instructors from different companies sharing SeaTunnel's practice within the enterprise. The number of applicants was 315 and the number of viewers was over a thousand. 23 new companies registered that they are using SeaTunnel.

How has the project developed since the last report?

This is our first report after the SeaTunnel project is accepted for Apache Incubator. We started the development of the 2.0 feature, with many contributors contributing, and it will be released in our first Apache release.
