Using the Binary Distribution
Follow the instructions in the ReadMe File instead of the Getting Started page.
- Download the jetspeed-2.0-M1.zip file (start at http://portals.apache.org/download.html)
- Unzip the file and overlay the contents on your Tomcat installation
- Visit the jetspeed-database directory and execute the start-database script
- Start Tomcat
- Visit http://localhost:8080/jetspeed
(Except for the name of the file (.zip instead of .tar.gz) these instructions should also work for the binary distribution on Unix/Linux.)
