Evaluation of communication protocol performance
This project is performance evaluation of RPC open source softwares (e.g., Hadoop RPC, Thrift RPC, Google Protobuf RPC, ..., etc) so that figure out what's the best solution for Hama BSP. Currently Hama is using Hadoop RPC to communicate and transfer messages between BSP workers.
- A list of prerequisite:
- Understand of BSP (Bulk Synchronous Parallel) and RPC (remote procedure call)
- Programming skills:
- Shell scripts
- 2d plotting programming
- The estimated duration for this project: 6 weeks
- The level of difficulty: Middle
