What is a BOF?

Birds Of a Feather, or BOFs, are where people of like interests flock together – small, focused talks or group sessions for 60 minutes with just the people you need to meet. Any attendee can propose a BOF. They are currently scheduled for Monday and Tuesday evening from 8pm to 10pm.

This year, we've scheduled at some of our BOF's before ApacheCon starts, so they will appear in the conference schedule; this should reduce some of the confusion about which room is which from last year...

To Request a BOF:

We're looking for a few good BOF ideas - Birds Of a Feather talks in the evenings between 8pm-10pm at the upcoming ApacheCon-US 2004. If you have a subject idea you think would be popular at the show, please submit it now! We're working on pre-scheduling at least half of our BOFs this week, so they'll be available in the printed schedule at the show.

Please login to the main http://apachecon.com/ site with your existing login name. There will be a 'Submit a BOF' link on the options page immediately after you login.

The BOF schedule will be posted on the main ApacheCon site with the daily session schedule. Some BOFs will be scheduled shortly; the rest will be scheduled shortly before the show starts.
